Health and Safety
The Governors have adopted a Health and Safety Policy that follows LEA guidelines. Any defect in the fabric or furnishing of the building should be reported. Visitors to the school are expected to report to Reception, which is staffed throughout the day. The governors regularly consider the security of the site. Fire evacuation procedures are practised.
In schools, health and safety issues are generally to do with people. Our code of conduct and movement rules are designed to ensure the safety of all who use the building.
When constructing the timetable class sizes are carefully considered. In Technology, Science and PE there are stringent safety rules which students must learn and observe before they are permitted to use equipment. Risk assessments are carried out by teaching staff. On the rare occasions that accidents to occur they are recorded, investigated and reported to the L.E.A.
