Learning Coach
Our full time, school based learning coach is Mrs Yvonne Girvan, who is an ‘Accredited Learning Coach’. Her role is to work alongside pupils from all year groups on a one-to-one basis, offering advice and encouragement. Her work is intended to empower students to follow their chosen learning pathway and help them to achieve their full potential.
As part of her role Mrs Girvan can, if necessary, act as a mediator or advocate between the student and teachers or others agencies. She has built up a wide range of strategies which she employs to help students explore various revision and study skills approaches, in particular to support students who are encountering difficulties with their learning pathway.
